Out On The Town With Mike Chalut
The city is feeling frisky because May is finally here! Flowers are flirting and the sunshine is pumping! Get outside and get active! Downtown is booming with things to do and the great outdoors is calling your name.
This month is all about that amazing woman that brought you into this world. Pick up the phone, make a brunch reservation, hit up the LCBO for a nice bottle of champagne and celebrate your mother! Patio season is in the air and it is time to walk, run and wiggle all over our stunning city! I love Toronto and I love when the sun is shining down on us!
There is always something happening and now that summer is around the corner our team at ONtheGO doesn’t want you to miss a thing! Keep us in reach at all times so you can always be ONtheGO in Toronto!
May 1st–10th Canadian Music Week
The Canadian music scene explodes all over our city with the biggest live performances for 10 days! Some night clubs have a 4 am license so you can dance the night away and rub elbows with your favourite Canadian musicians. Wiggle with Drake, sing along with Dragonette or maybe photo bomb Justin Bieber.
You never know who is going to be popping up on stage. For tickets and concert listings check out www.cmw.net.
May 10th Mother’s Day
Roll out the red carpet and plan a special day for the woman that brought you into this world. Mother’s Day brunch sells out early in our city, so plan ahead. If you decide to be creative and treat your mom to a home cooked meal, our team at ONtheGO have some amazing recipes to help you out.
For those who prefer to dine out, Brassaii Restaurant located at 461 King Street is one of my favourite destinations for a champagne brunch and the patio is stunning! If you’re lookingfor an amazing High Tea experience then head to the classic Windsor Arms Hotel. Whatever you do make your mother proud and treat her like a queen!
May 18th Happy Victoria Day
Toronto Blue Jays vs Los Angeles Angels This is our year! Well let’s hope! The Rogers Centre is always an exciting destination and our boys this year are looking fine. We got off to a rough start but the drama is always exciting! Grab a box of peanuts and cracker jacks and root for the home team!
A big tall cold beer is always a delicious choice! If you are going to drink just remember don’t drive.
May 23rd–24th Doors Open Toronto
In honour of the upcoming TORONTO 2015 PanAm games, this year’s theme is Sports and Recreation. It is a free day for family fun. Get a sneak peek inside both private and public recreational sites.
