How amazing is it to be a Canadian? Our athletes made us proud in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and our last Cover Boy — Captain Canada, Sydney Crosby — warmed our hearts and gave us GOLD! We are getting warm, we are embracing sunshine and spring is around the corner. March Madness is here!
If you are traveling south for March Break eat up that heat and bring some back for us! Sharing is caring! Post those sunny pictures all over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and share the heat … If you are staying here with me well I have a line up of things for you to do to keep you warm, busy and very entertained.
Now if you are visiting Toronto, I want to welcome you to the most beautiful city in the world. We love visitors. We want you to have the best time ever and want you to keep coming back for more!
There is always so much to do in Toronto from ages 2 to 102! Eat, Drink and Play is my motto. Keep this issue of On The Go as your social and educational key to the city, our experts and suggestions will make sure you have a really good time and smile this entire month.
This is a month of music, fashion and food so let’s get started!
Imagine Dragons at the ACC March 4 2014
March kicks off with one of my favourite bands that I absolutely love playing on my show. Imagine Dragons are a punk, dance-pop, new wave, and indie rock band all in one! They kicked things off playing in Vegas in 2009 and now they are one of the top selling bands in the world. If you aren’t sure who they are then download “Its Time”, it is a wicked track that is sexy, fun, cool and very motivational. If you need a little pick me up this song and this band will do just that! For tickets head to www.ticketmaster.ca.
Billy Joel at the ACC March 9, 2014
For the first time in seven years the king of feel good music, Billy Joel, brings his tour to Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, performing some of his best known hits like “Uptown Girl,” “Piano Man,” “Only the Good Die Young,” and “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” This music icon who has sold over 150 million albums worldwide is heating up our city! He has been nominated for a total of 23 Grammy Awards and has won six, including the Grammy Legend Award. Tickets are still available through www.ticketmaster.ca.

Get your kids off social media and explore Toronto.

are all offering amazing and affordable things for your kids to do — but plan ahead! Go online and book your spots now, before it’s too late! Your kids will be so happy and so will you! All Over The City! March 17th
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Toronto! Hands down one of my favourite city wide parties of the year. This is one party you don’t have to plan because the party comes to you! A true celebration of having a really good time with who ever is beside you! This Holiday is a home run for everyone! My favourite place to hit up for 7 floors of fun is the Madison Avenue Pub, located at Bloor and Spadina. This is a destination that keeps on giving — amazing live music, DJ’s, Irish Dancing, and delicious eats! Fill your guts up with Irish stew and have a pint on every floor. Just remember, pace yourself, drink water and have Advil on stand by when you get home! This is truly a city wide party! Happy St Patrick’s Day!
World MasterCard Fashion Week March 17 – 21
I love that Fashion Week starts on St. Patty’s day this year! Green is the colour and I hope those sexy models don’t deprive themselves of all the amazing food and beer! World Mastercard Fashion Week runways light up at David Pecaut Square and Canadian designers shine. It really is amazing how far we have come and the talent that comes out of Canada is breathtaking. Now getting into a show can be difficult so I suggest just look the part! Be confident and crazy! I am still trying to find the perfect lamp shade to sport this year so I can get through security! If the lamp shade doesn’t work, I will be following the action live on their twitterfeed (#WMCFW and @wmcfashionweek. Congrats to all the amazing talented Canadian Designers. You make Canada sexy!
Rain at the Royal Alexandra Theatre March 25 – 30
The Beatles celebrate 50 years of magical music! RAIN is a tribute performance to The Beatles that features covers of some of the most complex and challenging songs they recorded but never performed live. Songs include, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “Let It Be,” “Come Together” and more. RAIN mimics every gesture, nuance and note of the iconic band. The show is a multimedia performance that takes the audience through the life and times of the foursome. This is a performance not to be missed! www.ticketmaster.ca
Like I said, this is a month of music, fashion and fun! Let On The Go be your key to the city and let our team guide you through a good time! Toronto is heating up so keep moving, eating and wear a lamp shade for fun!
