French Learning Attracts A Variety Of Students … and Teachers Too!
Learn French | Alliance Française Toronto
Alliance Française Toronto is non-profit organization. It’s 100% Canadian. Since 1902, it serves the GTA community with 5 campuses offering a variety of courses for children, teenagers, and adults, plus corporate and public services.
It is the only French language school delivering internationally recognized certification.
Speaking French is clearly an asset in Canada. According to a 2010 study from the University of Guelph, bilingual employees earn on average 3.8% for men and 6.6% for women more than their unilingual counterparts.
Parents know that and immersion schools often can’t meet demand.
In 2011, more than 342,000 Canadian pupils attended French immersion schools. Unfortunately, the high demand creates a market for unskilled French tutors.
“Every day, we receive resumés from candidates seeking to teach French at our school,” said Marie-Joëlle Levignat, Educational Director at Alliance Française Toronto, “but few of them meet our academic and professional requirements.” Students at the Alliance Française de Toronto experience an expertise in teaching French.
