Let’s go camping
Camping is a fun way to enjoy summer and create wonderful memories with family or friends. To avoid mealtime stress, make room in your cooler for pork! DuBreton, the all-Canadian farming trailblazer and North America’s number one producer of certified organic and Certified Humane Raised and Handled® pork, offers different cuts of delicious pork for all your outdoor dining needs: ground pork for juicy and flavourful burgers, grilled pork tenderloin for a crowd-pleasing dinner, sausages for that evening campfire and bacon for breakfast.
The chefs at duBreton offer tips for making your outdoor dining effortless and stress-free:
1 Swap ice packs for frozen tenderloin in the cooler. It’ll keep the other food cool and be thawed in 24 hours.
2 Pre-cooked, crumbled bacon fits well in a sealable storage bag and will add crisp flavour to salads and meals.
3 Leftover cooked pork tenderloin can be used in salads or thinly sliced in a sandwich.
4 The crostini recipe on the next page is perfect for a delicious quick and healthy lunch!
5 Remember to always put the ice (or sealed, frozen tenderloin!) on top of your food to keep it cold and not at the bottom of the cooler. Heat goes up and cold goes down.
