Do It Yourself Plumbing
A leaky faucet or an improperly draining toilet are just a couple examples of plumbing jobs many home owners take upon themselves to complete without the expertise of a Master Plumber. However, there are benefits to both completing the job individually as well as hiring a seasoned expert. But which is better?
Tackling a project without a licensed expert does have its benefits; such as saving the added fees of hiring someone and paying only the costs of materials.
In addition, taking on home repairs will put a notch under the owner’s belt, perhaps making future repairs less daunting and easy to complete. However, it does come with the price of having to rent/purchase the appropriate tools if necessary, as well as the investment of one’s personal time.
Assigning a Master Plumber to the job has its fair share of quantifiable as well as immeasurable benefits that may not come to mind immediately, but should definitely be thought of.
A Master Plumber is likely to take up much less time than a person performing the repair for the first time, identifying the problem from the onset where as a rookie plumber make take a significant time period to recognize what has gone wrong.
Not only this, but the plumber would have all the correct equipment to complete the job in a timely manner as many of the required tools are not common in the average household.
As well, an amateur plumber runs the risk of getting stressed out and eventually causing more damage (or long-term damage) requiring more funds to be funneled into the project over a long period of time. One simple mistake can be the difference between a few hundred dollars and few thousand dollars.
Most importantly though, a Master Plumber has the education, knowledge and experience that the average Joe doesn’t, which really makes the decision a whole lot easier. Between time saved, avoided costs and the added stress of potentially flooding one’s house with some unsightly toilet water, hiring a Master Plumber is undoubtedly the correct route.
Some things around the house can be done with a flick of the wrist, but in terms of saving time and money, a Master Plumber is simply the best option when it comes to home plumbing and drain repair. — Andrew Chapados
