IT’S ABOUT TIME – Seneca College
If you’re working and juggling multiple commitments, finding the time to advance your education may be challenging.
Whether you’ve postponed returning to school due to a busy schedule or are now hoping to upgrade your career, part-time education and distance learning has become an ideal avenue for those seeking quality education, without having an exorbitant price tag.
A leader in part-time education and distance learning, Seneca Part-time Studies’ Centre for Flexible Learning (cFLEX) provides you with the flexibility to learn off-campus on a schedule that suits your lifestyle. cFLEX offers more than 1500 courses and over 40 fully online programs in an array of subject areas, ranging from Accounting to Sustainability.
“We understand that people are busy with their families and work, and yet they also want to pursue their career goals and fulfill their educational aspirations,” says Kate Andrushenko, cFLEX Manager. “We offer the flexibility to balance life, career, and education by taking programs part-time, off-campus, on a schedule that lets students decide when and where they study.”
Dispelling the misconceptions about distance learning as less interactive, Andrushenko believes that the advancement of technology has greatly contributed to the success and evolution of distance learning courses, often leading to a more immersive experience for students and instructors.
“Communication tools have come so far and courses are designed to engage students with their faculty and peers in rich discussions and activities,” she says. “Distance learning courses uphold the very same high academic standards, and offer practical, hands-on knowledge, as in-class courses.”
cFLEX also provides a 24/7 help desk for technical- or course-related issues and students are given access to resources such as Learning Centres that offer tutoring, counseling, and the Lynda.com eLearning library.
“We are committed to student success and want to give the choice to our students about when and how to pursue their goals,” says Andrushenko.
