Language Courses That Speak To A World Of Opportunities
In today’s global society, the ability to speak a second language is a valuable asset. Whether you’re conducting business or travelling the world, knowing another language expands the opportunities available to you. And, if you’re learning a language that is tied to your family heritage, the rewards can be very personal.
Through Continuing Education at George Brown College, you can learn Chinese, French (including business French), German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. There is a variety of courses — from beginner to advanced — and classes are held in the evenings at St. James Campus in downtown Toronto.
George Brown’s School of Continuing Education also offers four language certificates: French, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish. You don’t need to be accepted into these certificate programs. Instead, you can work toward a certificate at your own pace — you register (and pay) on a course-by-course basis.
By focusing on conversation and employing role-playing approaches, you’ll quickly become comfortable speaking in a foreign tongue. But, since language isn’t strictly the written and spoken word, these courses also expand your cultural knowledge.
Whether you have a personal goal to reach, are an avid traveller or are a business professional with international associates, George Brown’s language courses will take you where you want to go.
