Humber – A Well-Designed Career
Raya knew she was destined for a career in Interior Design as early as age eight. “I moved the furniture around in our house at least every couple of months,” she says.
“My parents just got used to it — and then I started planned spaces for friends and family members too! I knew I had a talent — I just needed the tools to make it a career.”
Raya moved from Tehran to Toronto when she was 18, and eventually decided that interior design was the best fit for her talents — and that Humber was the best choice for her career goals.
“Humber gave me the tools I was missing — because interior design isn’t just making things look pretty.
We have to be familiar with building codes, technology, architectural principles and sustainability issues,” explains Raya, who is now working at a corporate design firm.
“Spaces can affect how you feel and how you interact — so a well-designed space is essential.”
