At Home at School
The Bishop Strachan School (BSS), Canada’s oldest day and boarding independent school for girls, inspires self-discovery, creativity and leadership in girls of all ages and backgrounds.
Of the 900 JK to grade 12 students at the school, 75 make the campus their home throughout the school year.
Boarding at BSS is a life-changing experience. Surrounded by students from Canada and all over the world, boarders are immersed in a variety of cultures, traditions and ways of thinking.
In a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment, students share learning experiences and forge powerful friendships that last a lifetime.
They do this on the school’s beautiful campus and as they explore all that Toronto has to offer.
Nestled in the Forest Hill Village neighbourhood of the city, BSS offers progressive academic, arts and athletics programs in a state-of-the-art facility.
The school’s boarding program — delivered by dedicated staff who live on campus — focuses on fostering individual responsibility and independence in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Day and boarding students in grades 7 to 12 may qualify for full or partial financial assistance.
The school is currently accepting applications from bright young girls living in Canada and around the world looking for an outstanding education — and the experience of a lifetime.
