How Supporting Our Students Supports Our Future
As classrooms, job markets and cities continue to increase in population, so do the levels of dire competition. Unfortunately, our current-day school systems are finding it harder and harder to prepare their student populous for the future of a highly-competitive job-search market.
When it comes to our youth, it is crucial that we support students who show drive and passion, and provide them with the tools necessary to excel in their studies; providing them with the support and individualized attention they need.
Spirit of Math’s (SoM) mission is to promote cooperation, inspire confidence and release the genius in every child, with an end goal of that message becoming the mantra of every parent, guardian and teacher across the globe.
Now, bringing this message around the world to places like Lahore, Pakistan, CEO and Co-Founder Kim Langen provides world-wide influence in thought leadership, higher education and educational change.
Her expertise has yielded incredible results. With SoM, high-performing and gifted students from Kindergarten to Grade 11 can get involved in an after-school program that provides challenging problem-solving drills through an advanced math curriculum. All while inspiring confidence, critical-thinking and cooperative skills.
For over 30 years, students are being taken from the top of their class to the top of the nation with nearly 7,800 youth impressing peers and faculty across 40 campuses throughout Canada and the United States.
The unique curriculum challenges and enhances problem-solving strategies and logical thinking, resulting in students finding themselves on national and international mathematic honour rolls year in and year out.
Spirit of Math has been increasing the standard of excellence in math education by providing teachers and educators with com-prehensive training and ongoing professional development.
The curriculum is so successful, that the program has been asked to exclusively represent Canada in Beijing this month, at the World Mathematical Olympiad (WMO). SoM’s Team Canada (grade 3–6) will be on the world stage at the WMO competition on August 12.
Consistently raising the bar for advanced education in North America, going global is just one of the many landmarks of SoM, bringing their unique curriculum to Lahore, Pakistan where classes commence this month.
