Accessible Design For The Digital Age
In an increasingly digital world, designing that keeps inclusivity in mind is crucial — and, in some cases, it’s the law.
Humber College’s Inclusive Design in Digital Media continuing education certificate program will teach you how to design in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Through four courses and 24 hours of instruction, you will learn how to write, design and format captions for video, as well as write audio descriptions and alternative text for e-readers. As well, you will create accessible Microsoft Word and PDF documents.
The program, which is offered year-round, also teaches AODA legislation and industry standards for inclusive and accessible design not just in Canada, but worldwide.
Registration for Humber’s winter continuing education courses is now open. Kickstart your career in accessible design by registering online at www.humber.ca/continuingeducation, calling 416-675-6622, ext. 4508 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
