New Mandatory Entry Level Training For Class A Drivers
The way the industry is today, there is no stopping an individual from attempting to get their Class A driver’s license without any or very minimal training.
The Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT), that will be set in place as of July 1st, 2017, is to help keep the province of Ontario’s roads among the safest in North America. By improving entry level training it’s not only keeping our roads safer, it is also rationalized that commercial driving will move closer to being recognized as a skilled trade.
The Ontario Truck Training Academy (OTTA) has been heavily involved in the process of formulating the Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario’s (TTSAO) vision for MELT.
At the OTTA their instructors meet the highest standards of professionalism, each with a minimum of 20 years’ experience in the industry. The academy also positions their graduates with employers in the industry, and they’ve received the 2015 and 2016 GTA Consumer Choice Award for Business Excellence as the winner for Truck Driving Schools.
With four locations throughout Ontario, it’s easy for you to take a step towards a better future today. For more information, visit www.otta.ca or call 1 (800) 753-2284.
