Secretly and openly we all want to dance, it is part of our souls. “I can honestly say that what makes us unique is an emotional difference,” says Jennifer Jones, owner of Joy of Dance Centre on the Danforth. “I am constantly hearing students and faculty call this home. The transformation I see in students and teachers is evident and I see it every single day. It is pure joy.”
“Dancing is transformative,” says Jones. “You could have a bad day at work but after you dance for even an hour, your day is bright and joyous again. Students who have been going through divorces, layoffs, family crisis have found that dancing was their key tool in surviving and even thriving in their lives.”
People of any age or ability can enjoy dance. We all have natural rhythm in our bodies that’s waiting to be released, and you’ll be having fun while doing something that’s great for your body. The Joy of Dance Centre offers almost every kind of dance for ages 3–93, either in private or group lessons.
