Driven to Quit Helped Ralph Beat a 34-year Addiction
Quitting smoking is the number one thing that people can do for their health. That’s what motivated Ralph Baxter of Thunder Bay to sign up for The Driven to Quit Challenge last year.
Ralph started smoking when he was 11 years old and, like most people, tried several times before he quit successfully.
For Ralph, thinking of his loved ones was what motivated him to keep trying. He used free resources like Smokers’ Helpline and support from his Public Health Unit and ended up as the Grand Prize winner of a brand new car.
Seven months later, Ralph is still smoke-free and feels like a new person.
