Coming from humble beginnings in Toronto’s Distillery District, Artfest’s shows now draw thousands of loyal fans. Lory MacDonald, the show organizer is an artist herself, perhaps that is part of the reason the shows looks so great. The quality of the artists’ work is ‘top notch.’ They travel in from all over to participate.
Artfest continues to expand. Last year Artfest Port Credit was launched in Memorial Park. The show looked fantastic with over 100 artists, live music and children’s art workshops. Sadly, it rained all weekend! Nevertheless, the artists are returning with steadfast optimism May 27–29, plus live music with Matt King, Melody Fair and Tim Bovaconti.
Artfest Toronto returns to the Distillery District May 21–23 following a brief hiatus. The cobblestone historic site will host 75 artists offering paintings, photography, jewellery, woodcrafts, glass, pottery, gourmet food and live music. Admission is FREE. See you there!
